7 of 7 construction phases completed at Conrad Weiser Middle School

Muhlenberg Greene Architects, Ltd. was commissioned in 2001, by the Board of School Directors of the Conrad Weiser Area School District to develop a Feasibility Study for upgrades and alterations to the existing 178,000 sq.ft. Middle School facility.  The building was originally constructed in 1958 as a Junior-Senior High School with a substantial addition constructed in 1978.  The intent of the analysis was to identify needed code and infrastructure improvements and also facilitate the transition of the building from a Junior-Senior High School to a Middle School.  The scope of this study analyzed the existing conditions of the building and made recommendations for improvements and upgrades.  In addition, the study team analyzed current space use, reviewed projected space use and needs with staff, and compared building capacity with enrollment projections. A Summary of Probable Costs for the proposed alterations and upgrades was included as part of this study.  Muhlenberg/Greene Architects teamed with Consolidated Engineers, Leesport PA, for the analysis and  planning of alterations to the Middle School.

Muhlenberg/Greene was retained to provide the professional services for this project and the construction for the $13.7M renovations began in May 2003.
