Location: Reading, Pennsylvania Scope of Work: This project consisted of rehabilitating 55,000 sq.ft. of floor space in a four-story brick building (formerly used as a book bindery). The rehabilitation was to renovate the building for low-income, elderly and disabled housing. Work in connection with the building included selective demolition, complete re-roofing, replacing the existing windows, miscellaneous cleaning and pointing of exterior masonry, construction of new partitions (providing 41 apartment units, office space, community space, storage and utility rooms), interior finishes, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler and electrical upgrading. This project was handled under PHFA (Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency) guidelines and regulations.
