Location: Reading, Pennsylvania

Client: Greater Berks Development Fund

Scope of Work: Muhlenberg/Greene Architects, together with our Associated Architects Moeckel Carbonell of Wilmington, DE., were the architects for the design and construction of what began as the Corporate Headquarters building for Meridian Bank and became CoreStates Commons with the merger of the two banking institutions. This project created a four-story, 136,000 square foot building with a one-and-a-half story public arcade at the exterior of the ground level. The structure is connected to an adjacent parking garage by means of an enclosed, elevated walkway. Included in the building is a food court and dining area for the 400 plus employees, who work in the building, and their clients.

At present, the building is occupied by First Union Bank.
